Beatles vs Michael Jackson

The kids I teach generally love Michael Jackson but aren't arsed about the Fabs (save one Turkish girl who is obsessed, because of her dad).

Both touched with genius, I reckon, but is MJ the act to last the distance....?

In 10/20/30 years time very few artists will be saying Michael Jackson was an influence on their work. Lennon and McCartney will continue to influence for a long time.

Jackson was undoubtedly talented, but not ( musically ) ground breaking in what he did.
