Evilwebby, is bendtner now a world class striker? Wasn't Henry purchased for over ten million pounds? Wenger has had the ability to buy strikers for between £7 mill - £20 mill to make them 'World Class' strikers, in fairness, Everton have not been able to do that we bought Beattie, who didn't turn out the way we all thought he might. I don't think we have had decent strikers for years and years, we simply cannot afford to buy a quality striker. Although perhaps we should have bought one instead of Fellaini....Everton generally spend between £200 k & £5 mill on a striker, not only that but Arsenal have been able to pay a lot of money for midfielders, to supply strikers, Everton have not. We are in a different ball park to Arsenal in terms of buying power. We have essentially missed the boat when the prem started. I will say, and have said before, Moyes is not without fault, it's his team, and the way he sets them up doesn't float every ones boat, but for the most part he keeps us in the top half of the league, which i think is pretty good damned good! The Arsenal game next week, i think you are right though and unfortunately it'll be a matter of time before we concede. Which is a shame because i think Arsenal have been exposed this season, and have been shown to have a soft underbelly, if you ask the right questions....question is will we ask the right questions? - i doubt it!

to be fair we have broken out transfer record twice on strikers. they both cost more than 5 mil

We've lost 7 from 10 mate. Which suggests that the tactics have been wrong 70% of the time, now if you ballsed up at work 70% of the time, then there is a good chance that you would have employers, colleagues and customers on your back. In fact you'd be out of the door.

Actually. Your customers would judge you on the total cost over ten years, not 10 minutes.
Your 70% is massively gaited towards the 100% of them 10 games, what is his total over ten years?

I don't know whether we should replace Moyes or not I just wish he would change his tactics. If he won't then perhaps it is time to move on.

he does seem to be tactically inept and also seems to have problems dealing with the bigger egos in the dressing room, however, I think over all his good points outweigh his bad points. That said he does need to have a serious look at his tactics

I just wonder what he had to lose against Stoke though. We were 1-0 down, Stoke were happy to hold on and park the bus, why not throw Straq on with Vellios, Rodders, and tell Ross Barkley to run at them. Alternatively, cheese on toast, which is probably what Moyes' is eating for tea.

I don't really believe this. To stay attractive to customers and employers you have to adapt and develop throughout your career. Any time you feel like not putting in a shift because your enthusiasm is gone, you start blaming other factors that can't really be affected when your doing a bad job or failing to make the most of your qualities and assets you're going to lose out to hungrier and more innovative competitors. Eventually you'll be overlooked by employers and customers both.

It takes years to build up a good reputation, but only a few days of poor performances to ruin it.

It's no real wonder our decline for the last 2 years have come at a time when, at least to me, you could begin to question Moyes' enthusiasm and fire. This was what made up the glue that kept the team together to me. No excuses about having to bring a knife to a gunfight or how we can't compete with the billions of City. 11 against 11 we made them pay because we had the desire and they couldn't match it.

it seems to me this season as if DM has had enough of having no money to spend but won't walk away because he is on too much money here. His tactics and demeanor are just so negative this year ive never seen him so openly dejected about stuff. He writes the team off before almost every game with the same old "ive got no money" craic and its showing in the teams performances. I have always backed DM but he needs to stop with the Negative energy otherwise lets have a fresh face. :dodgy:

The title of this thread is very fitting

I can't believe people actually want moyes out!!

Yes question his tactics and the way he has us playing at the moment fair enough but to want him out is just ridiculous in our circumstances!

Moyes has done alot for this club. With the current squad he has chosen a way to play which he believes will keep us in the prem league and see where we end up from there. You might not like the way he is doing it currently which I don't but we have not played like this for years. He has had us playing good football (players permmiting) and in the current state of having NO money for 2-3 years to want him out is ridiculous.

He deserves some money and the chance to rebuild with a few new additions if we had city's mids and strikers and were playing like this I would agree and he would deserve to be give a big boot out the door! But he HASN'T

10 yrs ago and through the ninety's we had every reason not to behind our managers. Right now we do NOT. The conditions he is working against are ridiculous for a club our size and his current playing staff are not up to modern day football.

I just wonder if Carlo would be up to the challenge. He's not doin' much I believe.

Sell a few of the older players to finance his first season.

What would it cost to get rid of DM?

*a sniper in the upper Bullens
