Having found an unusually ample amount of time on my hands recently, I took to having BBC3 on in the background often as merely a bit of noise (I'm definitely of the technological generation, I don't think there are any moments of my day that are filled with silence. I'll even get sleep with a bit of music or an audiobook playing) but, somewhat inevitably, the programmes drew my attention from time to time, and what I saw was utterly pitiful.
If any of you are sad enough to watch BBC3 you might recognise some of the following;
E20 (a sort of Eastenders-cum-Skins spinoff of Eastenders, truly horrific)
The King is Dead (painfully unfunny, makes me want to punch that stupid prick from the equally godawful Inbetweeners that wrote and stars in this mess, that little **** Simon Bird)
And have been on at one stage or another; Little Miss Jocelyn, Lee Nelson's Well Good Show, Lunch Monkeys, Little Britain repeats and other godawful, mindless "comedy" programmes aimed at the youth demographic. What is the point of the TV license? It's an absolute rip off if all they manage to serve up is this pure unadulterated [Poor language removed].
And we get mugs like Colin Murray, Lee Dixon and the two kopites fouling Match of the Day with their clichéd bile.
Screenwipe is the greatest thing the BBC ever did!
Only thing good on that channel is Ideal, thank god for drug comedy.
