ITV are hopeless. Utterly hopeless. Always have been and always will be. Chiles with his overpowering but inane blustering matey-ness; O'Neil using a million words to get across an answer that requires twenty...tops. Gordon Strachan and his 'no nonsense, cutting through the BS' routine which merely underlined what an arsehole he is. Worst of it was Ian Wright calling Hoddle 'the gaffer' all the time, which was servile and creepy in equal measure.

ITV - the failed state of television as someone rightly called it.

Agree with the above except your comments on Strachan - from all I've read and seen of him I understand he's a very nice guy, what's the basis of your comments?

BBC had the best montage I ever did see, even beating the Kiefer Sutherland ESPN ones for the US group games.



And their intro music was just boss. Can't go wrong with Barry White can ya?
