Just seen their article "evertom sorry for van dijk injury" where do they come up with this stuff? Should be titled as "classy reminder it's a contact sport." Idiots

That was what kicked me off on this - they put that headline on it and the bury what he said under a tonne of rehashed propaganda, while failing to quote him on the Van Dijk foul on James...

"Jordan arrived a little bit later but his intention was to try to reach the ball. It was not to hurt Virgil van Dijk.

"To say it was premeditated, and this and that, in my opinion, is too much. Virgil van Dijk knows this.

"Jordan is really sad, really disappointed [that Van Dijk is injured]. It was a strong contact, maybe mistimed, but sometimes in football it can happen."

Ancelotti also said that Everton's Colombian playmaker James Rodriguez will miss Sunday's trip to Southampton with an injury sustained in a challenge with Van Dijk in the opening stages of Saturday's game at Goodison Park.

Carl Anka saw this thread and saw it as a challenge to be even worse judging by his homoerotic piece around VVD on The Athletic.

And it was "Everton "sorry" for Van Dijk injury" in the version I saw.

It was like half, we, the collective media, shamed them into an apology to appease the cult, and half, we don't believe them anyway.
