So this lunchtime, once again, we have Norman 'Adolf' Smith preaching his own usual doom and gloom. An utter biased turd of a man. He should be ditched, along with that other rubbish, totally biased, political news reporter Laura Keunssberg.

And then a national news item about the lack of availability of courgettes at present! You couldn't make this up. Is the nation going to starve as a result...??? Utter rubbish reporting!

And then some obviously privileged sod who's racing some kind of yacht around the world (you're not short of a bob or three if you're involved in this kind of venture!) and will likely finish second. Is the nation really interested...?

I despair of the national news. I yearn for objective, unbiased, national-interest, news, instead of subjecitve, biased, trash reporting.

Rant over!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All news is bias propaganda telling people what they want them to know.

no matter if it is the british broadcasting company, fox news, broadsheets or tabloids.

All of it is manipulated into a certain way of thinking, a certain opinion.

And no-one can see it happening.

I usually watch BBC breakfast which has its faults but is infinitely better than itv . The courgette thing was actually about veg in general from Europe escalating in price due to poor crops in Spain and Italy not limited to courgette, so if you're trying to eat a balanced diet and don't really like British crops such as cabbage or parsnips then this could be of interest

I can vouch for this - I needed one for a katsu curry the other day and couldn't find one anywhere.

Really?

I was devastated last week when the local big ASDA didn't have tins of Beef Broth! This isn't Xmastime, it's weeks after! Why wasn't that on the BBC news! (Apply ironic/sarcastic colour). ;) :)

Whilst I empathise with the great Beef Broth drought of 2016 and the undoubted anguish it caused I guess the news folk at the BBC deemed Veg as a staple of the general British populace . Given we import so much these days it's bound to hit some people in the pocket..

You could I guess start a crowd funding thing to raise awareness of future impending beef broth emergencies

What have you done with the real Ash?

All very true though, the 'news' is a tiny part of each feature, the rest is narrative and propaganda.

I don't watch the news anymore anyway. I just get it all from Twitter, which at least sits several viewpoints alongside each other, allowing you to create your own version of the truth by comparing them all.

Needs a snappy hashtag first. Brothpocalypse? Nah. Courgettageddon perhaps?
