Not at all, but perhaps the reason for that is because they're naturally more entertaining in certain roles than women are and therefore attract better ratings, rather than the automatic insinuation of institutionalised chauvinism?

As I said, if they want women on screen, create new shows that utilise women and attract ratings - quality new programming, instead of conforming to "Loose Women" stereotypes and foisting sub-standard personnel onto existing shows to satisfy the PC brigade is ridiculous.
