Lots of people on here keep saying the German league is pretty poor.

Why is that? And how can you truly judge?

Is it because it's dominated massively by one team?

Yes. Before Klopp you had every other season some other club surprising everyone and winning the league, or at least coming a battling 2nd (Wolfsburg, Stuttgart, Leverkusen, Kaiserslautern, Bremen etc). Their best players were duly bought up by Bayern (Podolski, Klose, Ballack, Ze Roberto and many more), meaning these clubs tailed off the season after, leaving Bayern to route the league again.

Klopp temporarily changed this, even winning the league twice in a row and reaching the Champs League final. But Bayern still bought their best players (Gotze, Lewandowski) and Dortmund thus stagnated. They look strong(ish) again under Tuchel, but Bayern's dominance of always buying the best players from rivals will continue unless the DFB force some kind of rule in place.

It's a shame, but you can see the positive effects of Bayern's dominance in the national team. Plus the Bundesliga is still not a weak league: Wolfsburg and Dortmund are currently strong and half-a-dozen other clubs would give us a very good game.

I find it quite funny, but then I don't really have a preference for a Bundesliga side after BVB's love in with the RS the other week.

WHY FORSAKE ME BVB.

Right now the Bayern II team would smash us 5:0 though.

:(

As much as I dislike Man Utd, it'll be hilarious now if Guardiola arrives at City for next season, and they're not in the Champs league.....
When you walk away from clubs like Barca and Munich you need your head examined...

Technically Bayern didn't buy Lewandowski. He left on a free to Bayern because Dortmund didn't want to sell him and he didn't want to extend his contract.
