Can win the title tomorrow night if they win away at 9th placed Hertha Berlin. Bayern are currently 38 points ahead of Hertha.

If Bayern win tomorrow, they'll win the league with 7 games to spare - a new record - and can then concentrate solely on getting ready for their Champions League games vs Man Utd.

Are Bayern better than Guardiola's Barcelona? Are these the two best club sides ever?

I must say, the Real Madrid side of 98-02 was very tasty.

Ajax 1971-73 are the best domestic side ever. No club since has dominated like they did. Of the 9 major trophies they entered in those 3 years, they won 7. 2 leagues, 2 cups and 3 european cups.

Guardiola took four seasons to win the same amount of trophies with Barca and he could never retain the cl.

And ajax were up against better competition, too. Domestically they were playing against Feyenoords finest ever side (winners of the european cup in 1970) and internationally they beat some superb teams including a 4-0 domination of a bayern side with beckenbauer and muller who went onto win 3 european cups on a trot themselves once ajax broke up.

Barca were up against the last remnants of a man u side about to be kicked out of europe by basel and benfica and real's clowns.

Munich's three in a row side must be up their too as well as milan's side in the late 80's early 90's

Ajax beat that 3 in a row side 4-0, though. And they were quite lucky in all 3 finals as well as not doing as well domestically as ajax in that time period. I think they came 10th in the bundesliga the year of their 2nd win.

Same with sacchis milan, they only won one league.

Ajax are unique for dominating both europe and their own league for an extended period of time. Noone else has done it.

this bayern can achieve anything imo. smashed chelsea in that final as well which they somehow lost. they beat and amazing barca team 7-0 - it was an unreal result tbh.

I'd fancy Madrid to do bayern or at least come close to beating them over two legs.

They're good, like.

But they're not invincible. See Dortmund's two league wins, barca knocking 4 past them, losses to bate and basel and inter and chelsea winning their finals.

They go on to win another treble this year and then next, you can talk about them as the best ever. But right now it's too early, they're just really finding form and who knows if they can maintain it in europe.

There virtually a totally different side to the one that lost to inter though.

The 11/12 season where they came 2nd in every competition including a cl final at home and a 5-2 cup final humiliation to Dortmund, basically gave them the momentum to win it all last season

oh yeah, clearly not yet, but they have the potential imo. every team will get beaten every now and then though.
