This statement can't be up-to-date. Uli Hoeness is in jail. But still, Bayern treat their fans great as usual.

The beer in the camp nou is non alcoholic, I'd say in most Europeans football grounds the beer may be low in alcohol.

It's a completely different culture in Germany. Football clubs actually care about the fans, they let them have a say in club decisions, they pay for away day transport, hey you can even stand up and drink beer. English football clubs couldn't give a damn what the fans think, bar a few... (That's the only good thing we are good at)

This is certainly true. The latest example being BT and Sky releasing their fixtures a full month after the Premier League fixture list was published. In Germany tv schedules were sorted within a week.

Time is money when booking travel.

Rugby fans also manage it without too much bother

Just a certain stigma attached to football fans I think. I mean, alchohol only entrenched existing hooligan culture. Most hooligans are nutty enough that they'll fight without chemical persuasion. Maybe it's time to consider that football fans are mature enough to be allowed to drink in their seats? Or, maybe we'll never be entrusted with that privelidge again in England?

I can't see it happening any time soon, sadly

It is a shame. I go to Leicester Tigers rugby, 24,000 fans all able to drink while watching the match, never any hint of bother, in fact there are not even any Police anywhere near the ground. When I go to Twickenham there will be 83,000 fans all drinking and having a good laugh. Football has gone through it's dark days and individual clubs should be allowed to reintroduce fans being treated like normal adults.........

I wonder, what with Football becoming more like Family Entertainment, if clubs will ever entertain allowing us to have beer in our seats again? Maybe just allow it only for the home fans and make the aways drink it in the concourse still?

Germans seem to manage it okay. Obviously, they have a different attitude to it. Maybe one day we'll be capable of it?

Jealous in a lot of ways in regards to the German League. The matchday experience seems a lot beter there

I hope not, would be a total nightmare, it might work in Germany but a lot of European people can handle alcohol in a way very few people in England can, we are more aggressive in this country. Thing is it would only take a handful of idiots to ruin it for everyone else and they would.

Beside with all seater stadium there is nothing worse if you are near the end of the row than having to get up all the time for people who cant stay in there seat for 45 mins, same goes for having your view blocked as the row in front stands, if bear was allowed in the seats you know there are those who would be going the bar every 10 mins.

Rugby its ok because the crowd is different, not even a problem with rival fans mixed together at the rugby, football fans are on a different wave length

This. The Germans are far more civilised. There is far less aggression to be witnessed in day to day life as in the UK.
