A good example of why we shouldn't start touching ourselves when we hear there's a big prospect coming through. Obviously I mean that in a non-paedophile sort of way.

A player who stands out at 15/16 won't necessarily make the further progress from 17-20 that is essential. Baxter wasn't just a decent youth player - he was considered the stand-out talent at the club. Kind of seems like the 'better than Rooney' label might not've been such a good idea.
