Baxter to Burnley on loan?

According to Fourth Official on Twitter, Burnley are to make a loan move for Jose Baxter.

I sense that Moyes is not too keen on Baxter as he's been around a while but never really had much of a chance, but a loan move may do him good.

Hopefully he can make himself a decent contact out there, its always best to try other regions home grown.

Personally I dont rate him, but cant say ive seen a lot to judge.

We don't loan out youngsters enough for me. Look at what season loans did for Cleverley and Wilshere. Coleman too.

Academy and reserve games are crap practice when compared to starting week in, week out for a professional club on loan.

We should be trying to loan out Baxter, Vellios, McAleny and basically anyone who's not going to get a real chance this year.

Agreed. However, most seasons - at some point - those guys make up our bench. So it's possible with a small squad Moylez doesn't want to risk loaning them out.

That's why I didn't say Rodwell, Barkley or Gueye.

I just can't see the likes of Baxter or McAleny getting a chance. Even with injuries.

Oh and we should loan out Anichebe so he can stop getting a chance. I actually think a season in the championship would give him some confidence. Or if he's completely gash there it might convince Moyes to finally give up on him. Win win.

Nice one. If memory serves didn't he come on for the last part of that terrible, terrible Bolton game last year? I know it was one of the young'uns. Either way though (if it was him!

) he seemed to me to be the one positive from that game as he looked reasonably bright. As others have said though he seems a nice enough lad and hopefully he can pull an Osman!
