I liked BFBC2, I liked vietnam era games so I thought it was well worth getting. Going into the vietnam menu and getting the Creedence Clearwater Revival coming on really sets the mood.
In the game you also occasionaly get some really good vietnam era dialogue, vietnamese lady on the tannoy telling the GI's to surrender etc. people saying waste that mo fo etc.
If you don't like that era, less HUD assistance etc then maybe don't get it. It's not too cheap.

Dont get me wrong i like BFBC2 but i prefer CSS due to none existant lag issues and excellent gameplay

You know, I think something should be done in this world to actually cater more for PC gamers. As time has gone by, they've started to shaft us, except for Blizzard and Valve - god bless them. Console is outdated the days it's released, sis. FPS games, strategy, RPG - all game genres made for PC, but somehow reduced in quality and skill requirements to suit consoles.

Back to the topic, I went to check out prices for the game today, but I play a shitload of Black Ops so I'm not sure I could get into this. Arcadey killing entertainment vs team tactical skill.

Finally got this on the cheap yesterday and downloaded the Vietnam bits.

Now I'm really awful at shooters but love this one! Im still bad at it but enjoy it anyway. Hopefully I'll get better with practice!

The music on the Vietnam bit is top notch. Perfect for the game.

Anyone got any tips on how to get better?!

If you're on the xbox360, let me know!. you have sniper class, medic, assault. You have to play each one for a while to unlock extra stuff. Like mortar strikes for recon, revive for medic. You can pay to upgrade these characters but best to just play. I played alot of MW2, and bfbc2 takes some getting used to. best advice is join a squad so you can respawn off them and you. Play cautious at first. Pick a bush and hide in it!. Don't be suprised if you get taken out and don't know where it came from! once you get half decent it's effing awesome man! especially if you outflank them and mow em down.

I had a blast on it last night on 'conquest' mode which is the best one I think.
I'm getting better on it but still basically crap myself when in face to face combat. When it's one on one shooting at each other I never ever win! But I'm not finishing bottom of the list at the moment so that'll do for now.

As you progress I think you unlock body armour and better bullets and accuarcy so thats probably why you lose the one on ones at the mo.

Ah I see. I could do with that armour now!!!

Enjoying hiding in a bush and using the sniper rifles although it's harder to get a one shot kill than it should be I reckon.

I always play hardcore, I think one shot kills are easier. It's sometimes nice as a sniper to lay a load of tnt (when you've unlocked it) and plant it around a flag, when they all run around it trying to capture it, KABOOM! hahahaha

Dunno about PC, I'm talking about battlefield bad company 2 on the xbox 360. It is available on the PC, I think is awesome but I don't know about the PC version. I think there's some PC players mentioned earlier in the thread, maybe message them or see if they reply.
