Anybody gave this a shot yet?

I downloaded it on my Xbox the other day and have played a couple of games and i'm still a bit undecided on whether i like it or not. If you played the first one then you will know it's alot slower and more tactical than Call Of Duty, with the addition of being able to blow up most buildings.

Thoughts?

Huge Battlefield fan right here. BF 2 predominately but I loved the old mods for BF 1942 like Desert Combat and Eve of Destruction (Vietnam).

Haven't see it yet though.

The only Battlefields i've played are Battlefield:2142 (which i loved), Bad Company 1, and the Demo of 2.

I got this game yesterday.. Pretty badass to say the least..
The movement is a bit clunky though...

Went out and bought this last week and love it !!!

Dedicated servers meaning it's harder to hack and you're not playing with cheats. I thought that was what the downfall of Modern Warfare was.

Graphics are great as is the gameplay. I highly recommend it.

It's so much better than COD, for so many reasons. But to name a few:

1.) Sometimes you have to use your head, and not just your mad camping skills.
2.) I've yet to hear any screaming, mum joke spouting 12 year olds.
3.) The vehicles.

had it played it completed it! but all my mates didnt like it so got rid of it!

nordecke if you fancy a game of somthing pm me!

Never really liked this game, got bored of it.

and no I'm not a COD fan either, more of a Halo/Gears player.

I don't think I've ever known a game to start losing it's playerbase so quickly..

Once people realised it simply wasn't as good as Modern Warfare 2 they just stopped playing it. The new Medal of Honor looks like it's gonna fall flat on it's face as well..

Where did you hear this?

I thought Modern Warfare sucked for one basic reason. Too many cheats. Made the game unplayable really. And that wasn't hearsay. That was through personal experience. It was so bad I almost took the game back to the store.

Yeah, BF still has a massive userbase. I think he's made that one up. COD was full of glitch exploiting tits, and campers aplenty. And people who go around either:

a.) Running really quickly with the dual "WTF just happened?" shotguns
b.) Running really quickly with commando and a knife
c.) GRENDADE LAUNCHER LOL

Seriously frustrating game. Whereas in BF, when I died it was usually my fault. It felt fair. And it was actually fun, although 'fun' is subjective of course.

i like cod, but agree with all these comments about glitchs, and campers - plus i'm 32, not really at my gaming peak. I constantly sit there going " WTF WTF WTF! " looking forward to Kane & Lynch on Friday though !

Im not suggesting that it doesn't have a "massive userbase", just pointing out the fact that many played it and dropped it soonafter, which (coincidenally?) seemed to coincide with the release of the first Modern Warfare 2 DLC. Many who took up a beef with MW2 turned to BFBC2 hoping for a better experience, then just ended up going back to MW2 anyway. No reflection on the quality of the game itself, just the fact that a pretty large number of COD players seemed to make the jump back and forth, myself and many of my friends being just a few.

Not saying that MW2 doesn't have it's flaws, because they're glaringly obvious, but BFBC2 is slowly moving towards "flash in the pan" status, and thats whats putting people off the new Medal of Honor (that and the glitch-fest that is the public Beta). I wouldn't be suprised if Black Ops ended up outselling all of them tbh.
