I would do a Wetherspoons pub crawl with Andy Carrol for a week if it meant I got to see Prince live, especially back in those days you lucky gits.

It was a stunning show at one point iirc a car came out the stage what a show,Birmingham NEC

The only other show that came close to that was Pink Floyd's The Wall i saw at earls court in '81 which to this day i contend i've yet to see a better live show but Prince's lovesexy tour almost toppled it brilliant night.

Apparently the LoveSexy tour lost a load of money 'cause of all the expensive props like the car, major props man!

LOL wouldn't surprise me,if im remembering right he cancelled the tour in '87 but tickets remained valid (long time ago now and details are a little hazy) so it didn't cost anymore when it came round in '88 but this could well be all nonsense becuase i was at the height of my concert going days towards the mid to late '80s and early '90's (2 or 3 a month most months) so i could have gotten it mixed up in the mists of time.

But what i do remember about the show was the car of course, the lighting was superb but most of all it was the musicianship on show he and the band where excellent i just hope i get the chance to see him again.
