Barsteward Referee....

I've decided today - and Chico, say what you like - but I am not bringing my lad up to be a football fan at all. The game is filthy, corrupt, rigged and set up so that year in, year out, it's the same old crap coming out on top. Just look at the lengths UEFA are going to so that nobody new can win anything, all in the name of fair play. Real fair play would see video technology, salary and transfer ceilings across the top flight, gates being shared 50-50, no huge rewards for winning, and title winners being barred from making new signings the next season.

As said on Twitter, the most baffling thing about that Sending off, was the fact that the referee had the best view in the entire stadium.

Actually, maybe he is too close to the action. Speaking as a former ref, I can say that at Atkinson's angle, it would of been difficult to tell for sure whether Rodwell had cleanly taken the ball with out making contact with Sewer-arez in the process. If he was a bit more side on to the play, he would of realized that a clean tackle was made and the game would of resumed as per normal.

if thats the case surely a yellow at most? ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh rage all the way from aus, wrecked my night!

At the end of the day, if you're not sure...one thing you don't do is flash the claret around. At first, I thought Rodwell might have kicked out behind play as I thought the challenge was hard but fair. To then discover it was for the challenge itself...you would be hard pressed to see a worse decision this season.

Get him into Rugby lad, Union or League, both good for a day out with the family and there's no diving or playacting......
