Focusing on the league would get us viewed a lot more. More live games = more money. Being part of the sky super sunday shows means extra millions.
Money means more chance at success it can mean the difference of an extra couple of players in the first team squad.
An FA or a league cup whilst being all very nice and shiney doesnt mean a long term cash influx. I understand that supporters want it all and want it all right now - but it was pandering to those requirements and signing average players for the sake of it that nearly busted this club of ours.

If we want change we might just have to get used to traversing from the position we are in in order to make it to where we want to get.

There is nothing more important to Everton right now than winning a pot, nothing, we have to make this comp top priority, if Chelsea can take it serious no reason why we cant.
