ffs, the lad is supose to become a star CAM we already have rodwell, fellaini and gibson who are all young enough to do the defensive side of midfielding for many years to come, give the lad a free role with no defensive responsabilities and he'll become the envy of the league. Hate all this defensive bullcrap, we're never gunna score 5 goals in the league for years to come

It doesn't say centre back does it? It sounds more like Stubbs thinks Barkley is perfectly good at attacking as it is, and just wants to improve his defensive play, not turn him into a defensive midfielder.

Nothing missed there mate, doesn't mention playing him centre back. I think it was knee-jerk/ sarcasm.

yes tit was, i understand trying to enhance his all round game but we know that everton have had a tendancy to go well over the top with this and soon enough he'll have lost his attacking instinct. He is supose to be our long term replacement for the chaill role, i don't really want him learning too much in the defence department

He called you a tit Mugz, BAN HIM FFS!

In all seriousness, Barkley would be incredible at attacking mid. Surely Moyes has noticed how well we play with a creative player (Pienaar) there, instead of Cahill.

He'll need it when we're 1-0 down and swaps roles with Fellaini though.

The fact two of us had to check the article says it all. Nothing about Everton surprises me.

Bad news though jack, whilst you were writing that reply Barkleys knees exploded for the 3rd time this week.

If you ask attacking players to come back and defend you end up giving fouls away in bad area's or being reduced to ten men which lead to goals against and defeat, it just ain't there bag baby, i'm all for improvement to a players game but moyes is obsessive in over defending
