It's hard to suggest Trevor Steven (relatively unknown as he was) was cheap at £300,000 - nor Paul Bracewell and Jags was nearly £5M so not exactly shopping at Nettos on that occasion - regardless of how good he is or how much we might get for him now.

As far as 'keeping is concerned you're joking aren't you ? In relative terms the £500k we paid for Nigel Martyn was the best bargain of recent times, especially as we probably would have been relegated without him.
