If they beat Atletico on the final day, it could hand the title to Real Madrid.

yes you are,if Real won there final 3 games,they have 92 points,barcelona 2 wins would have 91,atletico would have 91
 
Except that if Barca don't beat Atleti they could end up 3rd, which in Spain would cost them millions as the top 2 take a massively disproportionate amount of the TV money.
 

The problem for barça is, they can actually win the league if R. Madrid slip up. That slip up might come in the last game so they'll have to play to win.

Wrong. Madrid and Barça take a massively disproportionate amount of TV money, wherever they finish. Though to be fair you're generally right as they usually are the top 2.

No way, never new that, makes a mockery of the league really, anti-competative.

to be fair athletico have not lost to barca in 3 meetings

its not exactly rocket science to assume that at home in such an important game athleti won't rise to the occassion to seal at least a point.

all hooplah over nothing in the end.
