Bank Question

A Cypriot Bank has frozen my Account.Due to me not living in the country, they want to make sure I'm not a money launderer lol. Forms have been sent and filled in.My question is can they freeze payments going in ? I know that at least 1 payment has left someones account and not showing on my balance.Thanks for your help.

I do live in Greece @Eggs .Cyprus is a separate country.I do some business in Cyprus which is why I have an account there also.

If an account is frozen then any payments IN or OUT will remain ready to process once the account is unfrozen.

After laundering it, have you tried drying your money in a bag of rice or sawdust before taking it to the cashier?

Yep and I have unplugged it and waited 40 seconds and plugged it back in again.

Not necessarily pootsy, some backs will hold the funds for a few days before processing then transfer the money back from wherever it came from...HSBC Singapore being a case in point

The money has not returned to the creditors account.
