Bale's second goal at Norwich

In fairness it was better than Pienaar's. The burst of pace he showed to get past the oncoming defenders and then finish like that was outstanding.

I remember the reaction to that being "oh that was nice". Then Messi did the same thing 2 weeks later and the world's media had a heart attack.

Actually I've just seen it. Why did the two CBs leave a massive hole in the middle when they know how fast Bale is? Should've been hugging him like a rapist.

I agree. I just have fond memories of the goal as I was at the end he was rushing towards. The irony is I've just bought my ticket for the Spurs game. Who knows, notwithstanding special conditions, Stevie P might be playing for us in that game too!

Our goal was a better team, counter-attacking move I think. But in terms of individual skill Bale's was far, far better. He motors through that defence with hilarious ease and the finish was great.

The magic of the Pienaar goal was untouchable though. In the snow at the Emirates, counter-attacking the counter-attack experts.

I would love to read more posts about Tottenham being a graveyard for players, when in reality they are probably the best run club in Premier League right now, playing excellent football and having a good mix of young players and veterans.
