Absolutely bleeding great stat - the Baines-Cahill partnership has produced 9 goals, so far! :)

Were there other Everton partnerships (or other EPL teams) ever been as prolific? Who were they?

I believe Baines is equally as valuable to Everton as Cahill is. They are the Mighty Duo.

tbh its just a shame arteta hasnt made it a 'trinity' rather than just a duo with baines and cahill this season.
i agree though, cahill and baines have shown they are world class.

anyone else think this young fella shinji kagawa has a bit of the cahill's about him ?
perhaps we should give dortmund heitinga in a swap deal for him.the marketing revenues alone would a huge bonus.

Totally different players - Kagawa is a versatile (positionally) and creative attacking midfielder, Cahill this days is more of a poacher scoring with headers. Also, Kagawa is probably bargain of the last summer looking at teams from top league, great pick up by Dortmund. He's the kind of players Moyes was signing in the past, but he doesn't do it anymore (except for Coleman).

Borussia also has a strict transfer policy, which means they will never go for a player like Heitinga. They prefer to sign players who are not yet established, also because they can't match wages for a more recognized names.

yea i know he is a different position ..left mid and cm isnt he ?
by 'the touch of the cahills' i meant he has the same instinct and technique around the goal.very much a goal from nowhere player.the last goal on that vid could have been cahill...it was class.
i agree aswell kagawa is the bargain of the season , i think they paid 350k .
id love him here from what ive seen but its gonna be a minimum of 5 million even now id imagine.

ps.... another youngster im liking the look of is at caen ..youseff el arabi.he looks a tricky nippy little bugger.
