Stoke City boss Gary Rowett has dismissed reports claiming Ashley Williams was a makeweight for Badou Ndiaye’s move to Everton.
The Wales captain joined Stoke on a season-long loan earlier this week but persistent reports this summer have tipped the Toffees to move for Idrissa Gana Gueye’s Senegalese midfield partner.
When asked about losing Ndiaye to Everton, however, Rowett replied: “All the speculation was there, but for me that was never anything that’s been mooted to me at all.
“You would presume that while you are talking about one player, the other player would come up. That was a stand alone deal, nothing to do with speculation about our other players.”

I hope this doesn’t happen, then lad is pure erratic and his technique is very questionable at times

I'd take him if it means Morgan being dropped
Can't say I sat through a 90 minutes of a Stoke game that wasn't ours last season. Stats look fine on Whoscored considering he played for Stoke and he might be better as part of a better team.
Also if we swap Williams as part of the deal then we're making money.
