Bad ref decisions - for and against - season 2025/26

They say that potential bad refereeing decisions balance out over the season.
Let's keep a record and see if they do indeed.

I'm starting this with the decision to award Leeds a penalty in the 84th minute.
Chris Kavanagh was the ref and it appears as if he awarded the penalty and VAR did not see fit to over rule this.

Very harsh decision in my view. Not only does the ball take a deflection and whilst it does hit Tarkowski's arm - this is clearly by his side and is a natural position when he's trying to block the shot. Some say 'he leaned into the ball' as justification to give it - but the action of him trying to block the shot - obviously meant that he would be leaning to block the trajectory.

Awful decision. One against us for sure.

18/8/25 - Away to Leeds - lost 1-0.

I feel that not giving this as an Everton corner yesterday, instead of playing on, thinking the ball hadn't crossed the line, was probably a bad decision.
