Player Valuation: £20m
People are going on about how poor the team is this season, but since the fantastic win away at City are results have been ...

Wolves Away 0-0
Villa Away 2-2
Blackburn Away - Won 3-2 (Winner in last few minutes)
Fulham Home - Won 2-1 (Winner in injury time)
Stoke Away 0-0
Portsmouth Home - Won 1-0 (Winner in injury time)

New Season

Blackburn Away lost 0-1
Wolves Home 1-1
Aston Villa Away lost 0-1
Man Utd 3-3 (2 goals in the last minute saving us)
Newcastle home lost 0-1

The new poor performances, lack of goals and such are nothing new to this season, we blew our chances of Europe last season with poor results towards the end of the season.

mystifying. we drew three away games. We won the other three. So they were late wins. That's historically always been seen as the sign of a good team. The likes of Chelsea and United excel at it.

Some of the revisionism that is going on here is frankly disturbing. A few bad results and all sorts of ideas are coming out of the woodwork. Our form at the tail of end last year was astonishing.

Arteta played badly at Newcastle. Is someone gonna post he was a waste of money? Please people, get a little perspective on this.

I agree. 2-2 away to Villa is a good result, unless maybe if you're Man U or Chelsea. and Stoke and Wolves aren't easy places to go to. Also we scored 2x the goals in one more game in last years games than this. Or if you include Brentford.... Ofcourse it depends whether you really mean form in terms of results, or performace.

4 away games in 6, and we walk away with 11 points, an average of 1.83 points per game which would have seen us finish with 70 if we maintained it all season. Aye, that's the kind of nightmarish form that would see us slump to a humiliating fourth place...

Forget what minute the goals were scored, 3 home wins and 3 away draws at the end of last season is far from 'bad form'.

*you've missed out West Ham at home, Easter Sunday, 2-2.

Good point that if you add the West Ham game and getting knocked out of the cup by Birmingham and getting pegged back after being two up at Birmingham in the league.

Even when we were ace, we were still crap or something.

Twice we threw away the lead to West Ham for a 2-2 draw.

Twice we threw away the lead against Blackburn but managed to win 3-2.

Twice we threw away the league against Villa for a 2-2 draw.

Poor performances all round, including the shocker against already relegated Pompey, nothing to play for Fulham & Wolves.
