Bad car day

Spent £360 to get my Passat through its MOT last Friday, (suspension), then today the cam belt/drive/chain thing went. £1200 to repair! Probably wont bother, (1700000 miles!), but gutted that it didnt blow on Thursday before the MOT.

I feel your pain mate. My last car was a 2001 Ford Fiesta, then one day the engine went to half power. Went to the garage and was told I needed a new computer £500 2nd hand!!!!

I didn't even know my fiesta even had a computer in it.

Sods law that yours went after the MOT.

Oh well, worse things happen at sea etc. Still, self employed, so at least some of the cost can get set against next years tax bill.

HMRC dont trawl this site I hope!
