Finally found a use for the iPad!!

Got this game and it's ace if you're a fan of the movies. Christopher Lloyd does doc brown, some random does Marty (but sounds perfect) and has the original film music (Huey Lewis and the News included).

It's a point and click like your Monkey Islands etc...and the first scene is the Twin Pines mall car park scene...with a huge difference...no more spoilers though...get on it!

The graphics look super fly

And here's the first part of the game (skip to about 32 seconds):

These multi episode online games ... linked to MMPOGs are going to be huge.

Since they're effectively never ending games with new episodes released every so often and games to play inbetween on subscription.

Its the future lads. Right there.

And the other beauty of these online games is you can play them anywhere.

At home on PS3/Xbox / PC or on the ipad or out and about on the same.

Its brill really.

Its been done before with episodic gaming...it just didnt take off due to the price and the game makers couldnt keep making the episodes without it being a loss....and it took a lot of time to do. Getting a couple of episodes to tell a story at a reasonable price especially for mobile gaming is always a good move but you can only make a certain amount of episodes before calling it a day - taking time out.

The MMORPG's are just massive anyway - World of Warcraft, Age of Conan are HUGE and DC Universe for the consoles is making a splash but all for a monthly subscription.

Too time consuming for me though and the fact you could be spending £150 upwards for a year or more does hit the wallet,.

I've just been having a quick try out of one of them iPads. They're alright like, but I'd prefer a boss smartphone.

Same here. Not a big fan on the Ipad - dont see anything worth while about it (it does less that a notebook, and less than an iphone) apart from reading books on it - and for the price, I'd rather get a paper back.

Smartphones do look tasty mind you.

As for Back to the Future game...its on the PS3 network lid.

I know it's coming out on playstation network but it's not yet. Searched last night for it.

Also I know I joke about my iPad, but it truly is ace. I don't just use it for games either. Photo editing is so easy, and recently purchase Pages so I can start writing again. I never got on with laptops etc...so iPad is perfect for me. I guess it's all down to personal opinion.

I was miffed to hear that iPad 2 will be out this year. D'oh!

I'd probably upgrade ijjy and I don't know, sell your first one for like £50 or something....just saying. I will buy that =)

The game looks pretty sweet, the day ToeJam and Earl makes a comeback is the day I buy whatever console/iPad etc it comes on

I am sure you can flog your used iPad for a good couple of hundred, making a nice deposit on the iPad 2 (which still has the same resolution screen FFS!!!!!)
