Terrible idea. Just wouldn't work. It would just allow the clubs with money to harvest all the talent, rather than loan out players for competetive football to clubs in the lower leagues who can only survive throught the loan deals.

Yeah, but they would take the place of some other established club. There is life beyond the Premier League. If they started off in the very lowest and worked up, then fair enough. But what would happen if we drew Everton B in the cup?

I'd like to see it go back to the days of a full reserve league, no age restrictions. My grandfather used to tell me of watching Everton reserves at Goodison and you could tell from the roar at Anfield what was happening in the ****e first-team game.
It'll never happen, though, as the cost of players would be astronomical.

Why does it work in Spain then?
I'm pretty sure if they start from the beginning like every team did its fair. I'd have Man City B rather than Walsall mate or Plymouth which will allow us to develop players better and become successful as a nation.

I can't see how it would make a player better? They have to play somewhere, so why destroy smaller clubs' chances?

They'd still be at the same level, so it wouldn't be an improvement.
