Got some of the ethnic problems here aswell, not to bad with Glory but the Serbs and Macedonians in the northern suburbs plus a few of the other W*g boy types really don't get on. We also seeing quite a few "skinnies" trying to get into clubs but get turned away cos theyre not from Srebinitsa of some other hellhole.

Its screwed; I know that there are boys paying a couple of thousand a year to play at a junior level high enough so rep teams notice them. The cost can be ridiculous.

In order to produce good players, Australia really needs to establish a new system. Unfortunately having a cup competition with these teams is a step in the other direction.

Got agree, but its unlikely to happen now. The real chance was when the A-League was being set-up but factions(ethnic mainly) in the Eastern states didn't want to lose their control. The Glory really suffered when the league shutdown for 18mths and that was mainly because the federations in NSW and Victoria couldn't agree on the set-up. Just when they'd got themselves established with 16000+ crowds and a high profile in the media. The last thing soccer in WA needed was a long drawn out close season. When they re-started they'd lost the momentum, the Western Force( rugby union) had seized the chance now they get 16000 to 25000 crowds and the Glory get 10000 ish.

The Force's crowds are packed with South African expats.

The Glory have a good fanbase, but they've always played **** Football. The people running that club are ****ing idiots.

That would be the same South Africa that hosted the last world cup? It doesnt matter were they come from their $'s spent at the Glory or Force or Eagles is as valuable as any Poms $.And if you know anything about Australian supporters of any code or sport they'll always go for the teams that are winning. And Glory were winning before the A league f*** up which resulted in no league which meant no revenue for over 18mths.

The same South Africans who love Rugby Union.

The A-League **** up? You're just bitter that Perth haven't improved with the rest of the country
