Performance-wise there's not a huge gap, it's the general quality of the car where the GTR gets the snot knocked out of it. If you had stupid money there's no way you'd sit in both and walk away with the GTR unless you also bought a Rolls or something.

Yeah that's probably true. I suppose the GTR wins in my mind because it seems almost attainable. It's like finishing fourth (probably won't happen but you feel like we're close in some way) whereas having enough money for the R8 would be like winning the league.
