Hello fellow Toffees!

I have just returned back from the Fulham game, after an unexpected 6 hour train journey back home in South Wales.

Like many fans we have been priced out of watching Football on a consistent basis, spending over £500+ just to watch them play (Travel, Spending Money, Food, Hotel ect'). So we can only go up once a year to watch them play.

We sat in the Upper Bullens area, first time up there after not being able to get tickets for Gwalyds.

And I swear to god, you could of heard a pin drop up there.

When the odd person chanted they had to deal with 'stinking looks'.

Very dissapointed, although it was a good result.

It's like that up there mate unfortunately.

We havent got much to play for either at the mo, once we get good again, Goodison will be rockin

Admittedly the atmosphere last night was pretty muted, but it's hard to get super excited when all you're realistically chasing is a mid table finish to the season.

Being quiet at the match is the new big thing lad.

Anyone who stands up and waves their arms frantically will get chucked out.

The Gwladys St. with the introduction of seats, seemed to become more the focal point of our support, but the Enclosure was where it was at in the 80's, Lcab will say Park End, but we weren't allowed in there then. You could also 'move down' at 1/2 time if you so wished.
Probably Howard K saying "Just get the ball down there, the Gwladys St. will suck it in" had another bearing factor on it, but there was always a lot of singing in the Enclosure and the Paddock , wasn't the enclosure seated 1st ?

if memory serves me right, which wll be a frst, the Enclosure was 1983-87? The Paddock 87 onwards The away fans would have all the Park End then. You may have got a few Everton fans in the Park End but it was nevr packed enough to get any atmosphere in there then. Pre 83 apart from United and Liverpool and a couple of others then the Park End had a good Everton atmosphere. The Gwladys St in the 80s never got the credit it deserved though and hardly gets a mention nowadays

Think we have al been waiting for the team to give us something to shout about, but ee are supporters so should support no matter what.

As Mark says I think sometimes you need something on the pitch to ignite the fans. I'd like to think a lot of Evertonians are pretty intelligent football fans and not performing seals who will clap at anything. Having said that Number_25 has paid a hell of a lot of money and deserves to enjoy his day. I've sat in the top balcony a few times and it can be quiet there to. Tea time kick offs are a funny time of day to play a match as well.

Just wait until next season when we are challenging for the title then you will see a great atmosphere......what's that nurse I need to take my pills now..... :hay:

Agreed, bad football will not make me chant and sing! It's been bad football for many years now with the odd exception. Yes, we have loads of posession, but no goal chances benefit from it. It's no coincidence we're last on MOTD every week.
