There was a Newcastle fan on 606 yesterday evening saying they will come straight back up with FSW and finish top six in the Premier League the season after.

I see that another relegation hasn't altered the delusion they are among Europe's footballing elite.

The top six aspect is absolute fanciful nonsense, but I'd be unsurprised if they do not automatically bounce back next season.

Yes their squad is poor and full of a fair few mercenaries, who I'm sure will be the quickest to jump ship, but they've also got some decent talent.

Add a bit of rough and tumble to the squad (as is needed for the Championship) and they should reach automatic promotion or the play offs.

Villa on the other hand will probably continue to wallow in their own demise and with Lerner unwilling to invest, their squad will get them relegated.
