One game closer to that summer of assorted beer quaffing and international soccer aceness that you have got planned.

While some of them will be lucky enough to participate in it, it would seem a couple of our players have the same plans and who can blame them? Problem is that their lethargy will upset their egos next year when were not likely to contest European football, and while we have done amazing to fight back in the second half of the season it will largely be down to ourselves.

Next up are (the) Villa. This game was due to be a a six place six pointer. Villa are weird and one of them clubs bracketed in with ourselves, both in current times and historical. Some of their fans have pushed the bell level to a whole new tidemark with their zany chants and all round beautish behaviour in recent seasons. Now I'm not talking from an elevated level here as we have our Moyes detractors but I'm amazed about the pressure put on O'Neill from them, they are miles better for having him there.

Which leads us onto O'Neill, he's a huge hank. But one with trophies to show for it. His teams are like a super deluxe Wimbledon yet they avoid the label somehow of being hoofers somehow.

They have some decent players, when Young stops scrunching his face up and falling over limbs then he can be some player, and Milner always looks a threat despite having the look of a WWII teenager. Carew is an excellent target man with a fantastic touch and this will be no easy game.

Testament to his effectiveness on return, Everton look much poorer when Arteta isn't in the team so will look much improved when he's back, which is likely for this game. I would wager that Bily will relegated to the bench not for the first time this season to make way. It would be nice to see one of our centre forwards actually making a claim for that sole position up front and maybe Yakubu will return for this one.

Villa have a semi final date with Chelsea on the weekend before and will be up for this game hot on the heels soon after. We'll see which of our players take to the field in flip flops and hope for a repeat of the City game if we are to get something out of this.

Howard
Neville Jagielka Distin Baines
Rodwell Arteta Heitinga Pienaar
Bilyaletdinov
Yakubu

Actually try to score a few, you know kill the game off as they say? Come one Moyes, change it.

We're so gonna win this just to make today that little bit more annoying.

And to once again give us that shining light of hope for Europe next season.

The next game already, we've only JUST finished the last one!

Has Chico got his Christmas Shopping done already, January sales will be on next week.

not sure what will happen, still fuming about today. (sour face)

as a Norwegian, i can easily say carew is our best player at the moment. He is not some overhyped crap like the two Riise brothers and Pederson, and certainly he is not an inconsistent one like Hangeland and Bakke. On top of that he has a great experienec in big clubs like Valancia, Lyon and others and he is dungerous when you don't notice him.

I can say he is the most dengerous player ad Milner can be controlled by haitenga and Young just don't seem to play well most of the time. also, if we have arteta, the midfield is just ours.

But carew is just sneaky even though he is bulky and strong as hell

/Norwegian pride.

We'll get smashed.

Several dodgy penalties, defensive mistakes, and a few shitty counter attacking goals.

So we head into the third must win game since all the talk of being outside bets for a europa place and after two draws we might as well write it off, small-time mentality from players who can only turn it on when playing against clubs they fancy joining. Sorry, Wolves may get relegated this season, and will for sure next if they survive. West Ham are so very poor they have been battered weekly until they play us, also in a relegation scrap and if they survive look likely to go next year when Toon and Brom come up.
Bit of trivia, Sporting at Goodison, a defender chopped Saha for a clear penalty which wasn't given, he raised his arms to the Park end, then same end, Distin puts a daft challenge in going to ground and giving a penalty away. Well, today saw the exact same but at the Gwlady end. Next time Distin goes to ground in our penalty area rip up his contract and post him back to france.
As for Villa, pressure has hit them, again, no burn out for them in the europa, just a bottle problem and problems at board level. Ashley 'genius' Young to put a shift in? Nah, well off the boil.

This season is a write-off for me. Going to stop worrying and just enjoy the good moments! We will lose against Villa the team of super-snides
'Concentrate On The League' next year, so that we can get in the CL!
