well ive just had the call to say im on the course … starting on Monday.. its initially 3 weeks in the classroom, medical, an NVQ in van driving and manual handling, plus some warehouse type work experience as it all has to do with HGV driving.

today, I was expecting a few questions and some maths equations , but nothing much..

what I had to do was a two hour exam … with the maths questions starting easy , getting progressively harder … I wasn't ready for that!

the literacy stuff wasnt as bad, reading through situations and giving an answer from multiple choices... also spotting the spelling mistakes and punctuating paragraphs !

I must of done ok to pass the tests ! there were about 20 of us there and they said 50% fail it!

no phones or calculators allowed.

I found this quite hard, as im not used to doing it...

a bottle of water is 3.5 euros..

the exchange rate is 0.70 euro to the pound.

how much does ten bottles of water cost in £'s ….

I worked it out at £21 … don't know if that is right or not ?!!

anyway just glad im in and I can start something new, and something that ive always wanted to do in obtaining my HGV licenses
The answer was, I'm not arsed about 10 little bottles of water.
I've got a lorry load here.

Mate 2 errors there, the bottles are priced in Euros which you've then divided by .70 which was the Euro figure against the pound.

Plus 10 x 3.5 is 35 not 30.5

10 BOTTLES X E3.5 =E35

.70E = pound 5x .70 =3.5E Therefore 1 bottle of water is 5 Pounds 10x5 =50Pounds

@Seamus Colemole was indeed correct so I'm guessing he was also educated on the Wirral.

Making it Simple 1 pound = .70 euro therefore in conversion it is going to be more in pounds than Euros not less.

I know mate, I fixed it in a later post. Was doing integration a few hours before so probably wasn't reading it properly ha.

What’s on the agenda today Frank,
the best way to hide a body within your cargo ?

mowing the lawns and tarting the garden shed up with paint if the weather will let me, its abit damp to say the least..

off the the Hibs v Hearts Edinburgh derby on Saturday, in the VIP , free ale allday at the game !

got to get the train back from Edinburgh on sunday night because my course starts Monday at midday and the others are staying up there for another night.

cant wait !
