No. He was fading badly for Chelsea in most of his games before he left, for example he had an awful game at Goodison in Martinez's first season. So much so that the right sided Azpuiliecueta was moved over in preference and he's been poor for Roma since his transfer.

Would much rather use Oviedo/Galloway, our academy kids like Connolly/Robinson or even Barry in the role and that is just based in his current quality let alone his personality.

i think he's literally just given up caring about football. but is a greedy git so will continue playing whilst teams pay him. don't think any team in world footy should go near him tbh.

i don't think he's past it, the drop in performance has been too massive in a short space of time - just too ignorant to put in extra work now it's necessary.

Thought Galloway looked very composed yesterday,obviously he'll have some crap games at his age but I'd rather(if I were an Evertonian) use him till Baines is back then rotate him. He should be used to how the team play in those 3 months and just slot into the team any time Baines isn't required.

Yoy don't need some 30something looking for an easy life not putting a shift in. Few times I saw him for Roma he looked well past it

When I saw he was being released I thought about whether we would but after seeing Galloway yesterday i'd prefer we played him instead. Give our own lad experience for the future and he isn't letting anyone down.
