Aw loves Mikel. Rumour going round here that if he sticks around he'll be offered a coaching role similar to Thierry Henry's role with the u19s.

Sad to see his decline because of injuries but in his first couple of seasons for us he was a steady controlling influence in the middle of the pitch. His stats in those 2 seasons were one of the best in the league.
You don't need to be a hardman to control a midfield. That only leads to red cards. The clever players like Arteta get away with numerous fouls that break up play but rarely get booked for it. Gilberto was the best in the premier league at this.
But Arteta is too slow for that now.
Don't remotely blame him for the Baggies loss,the penalty and the missed sitters are why we lost the game.
