Arteta, the People, and Everton

Should.....Arteta leave us next season because of his baby and mainly because his girlfriend doesn't want to live in England. (I believe this is just a rumor, but it sounds pretty true to me) What will be your feelings towards Arteta?

personally, I will still admire such a creative player. Whatever club he goes to (hopefully not!) he will still be a blue at heart and I will always know he played for a marvelous club. I certainly know that Arteta, myself, you and Everton will be massively affected by his departure. If it occurs at all....

If he goes to Spain then fair enough, But all the stuff about his girlfriend, well i dont believe it, she was off in LA for a year doing TV, and shes in spain for the baby, but sooner or later she'll settle here.

This to be honest.

I know I was somebody who said it might be a factor, but I was just saying how hard it will be for him really, speaking as somebody who has children, I know how hard it would be for him to miss his child growing up.

But she will visit him all the time, so it really wont be that big a deal.

But to answer your question, if he did leave for that reason, he would go with my blessing and I would understand 100%, both his reasons for wanting to leave and also his wife not wanting to live in England.

But hes going nowhere, not this season anyway.................

Agreed, but hope he can stay a very long time. He is the type of player our club needs.

In my mind family always comes first. I think he would have had his head turned by now if he really wanted to leave. But for family reasons i for 1 would fully understand and would wish him every sucess in the future.

If he left next summer with the reason being that he wants to be with his family I would still support him 100% and wish him all the best in the future (except when we meet his new team in the CL final of course).

Family comes first. You are a footballer until your mid-thirtees, but a family is there for life (until your late-thirtees)

As long as onion man is manager he'll have more footie buddies in Liverpool than he will in Spain. He'll go someday but think he's got another 2 years here.

Let's not fool ourselves, if we don't make europe next season, I think a few will depart.
