As reported Yesterday, Mikel Arteta emerged as a doubt for todays FA Cup encounter with Merseyside rivals Liverpool due to a rib injury.
Better news this morning however, with reports raising hopes that the best little Spaniard we know may still be included in the squad, with 'The People' newspaper claiming Arteta will be monitored before kick-off;
"Everton star Mikel Arteta has had a freak injury scare in the buildup to today's derby. The Spanish ace took a nasty kick in the ribs from a team-mate in training and needed to have a quick check to make sure that nothing was broken. Boss David Moyes is confident that Arteta will be OK but he will be monitored before kick-off just in case he is still experiencing any pain."
