I've seen across various platforms today people arguing that it's unneeded nationalist jingolism.Can't understand why anyone would want rid of it. If you don't approve of Armed Forces day then simply ignore it.

It can be viewed as such. Others simply see it as a chance to pay respect to our armed forces and don't care about the alleged political implications that seem to obsess the events detractors. I don't see why it should effect anyone one way or the other. As I said before, if people think it's a waste of time they should just ignore it.
