Be warned - Beware of buying large white good off them - into the 4th week as the latch fell of the main oven door ... their 12-month guarantee only 6 months into it they could not even give us a date for a repairman to come out ...... photos sent in day one .......a 30-minute job to re attach the door latch held on by self tapers in side the oven door ....
Checked Sainsbury's who now own Argos bought the Bush brand 3 years ago all made in China ....
Model now already discontinued ....
Ordered a replacement they honoured the same price for a more slightly expensive cooker to remove and fit etc booked for the 28th of June ......
We tried to escalate the delivery as their slogan is - " We will replace it before you miss it"
Argos they have a call centre - we were unfortunate to come across a right plonker who took the proverbial for 45 minutes promised us a manager would contact us over this unfortunate incident etc etc - he cancelled the delivery when we telephoned back asking why no one from Argos had telephoned ....the Argos new guy stated it was him playing games - he is sending it to the top gave me an email of the Sainsbury's management complaints team - they are now sorting it out plus will give us compensation .......
Argos are now a faceless company since the takeover - never had any problems with AO or Curry's PC World - item either fixed or replaced with another model in days ......
