That is absolutely tragic. Utterly shocked here.

...... and again sadly we have to have a tragedy as horrible as this for things to change. Only now will they look into that particular design of stadiums and the removal of walls so close to pitchside. Can't be certain but that wall looks about 5ft from the sideline. Why ?

On the day of the incident, San Martin manager Cristian Ferlauto said it was “crazy” and “a disgrace” to have a wall so close to the pitch.

it looked a genuine shoulder shoulder imo. i doubt he shouldered him into the wall on purpose. having a concrete wall by there is inexcusable though - appalling.

.....I see it in amature and semi pro footy where they have a pitch enclosed via concrete posts and a hollow metal bar. I often think it's a danger. Sad incident, very sad.
