indeed as Fr Jack would say that would indeed be an ecumenical matter. I think some of the Orthodox switched over to the gregorian calendar though i think the kyriac, Indian and jacobite orthodox churches share the same calendar now as us and celebrate candlemas - the presentation of the child Jesus; Jesus' first entry into the temple; and the Virgin Mary's purification on 2nd February like the rest of us now.Then you throw in the confusion of missing 10 day with the change over of calanders from Julian to Gregorian,
Also, iirc, the Orthodox Churches are still on the old one...or not...confusing.
The Orthodox Churches do have a fixed day for Easter though, unlike the more 'modern ?' western churches.
In 1929 Parliament passed a bill 'fixing' Easter - subject to the Churches actually agreeing on a date.
