That take their xmas tree down on Boxing Day … or are you normal and leave it up until after New Year’s Day ?
Never understood why people take it down as soon as xmas day finishes.
If I wasn’t so lazy I would be. I get so hyped up in the build up to Chrimbo that when it’s over I’m gutted. Every time I look at that stupid tree, I feel like it’s mocking me.

in my country, on the contrary, the Christmas tree is mainly put up only after Christmas and Boxing Day falls on the new year.
Christmas - just a holiday, when you don't have to go to work.
new year - great holiday, when you are gathering around the table, drinking alcohol, eating delicious food and exploding fireworks.

maybe they are afraid of tree starts falling apart or they are muslims:)

I'm a bit like that. I love all my decorations in the run up to Christmas. come Boxing Day I look at the snowmen, blue Santa, pink Christmas tree, twinkly lights and think "what a pile of absolute tat". But I leave them up until after New Year.

Kurt, there is something hugely reassuring about you thinking I'm a weirdo. Thanks.

Ours came down today, which is a bit soon I grant you.

There is a long held superstition that it is bad luck to keep your Christmas deccys up beyond 12th night which I think is the 5th Jan.
