Looks a lot of them are in for a massive shock next season. Their position last season is no fluke. They need to replace Vidic, Rio, Giggs and possibly Evra just to stand still.

They've got a smattering of talent but there's just too much mediocrity to reasonably expect them to challenge next season. Early days but Kroos' rejection of them shows what lays in store.

Fully expect to finish above them next season.

Nope.

All fanbases have beauts. Theirs is larger than most, thus they have more beauts than most. But the proportion seems normalish all things considered. Kopites have the proportion all out of whack.

They're a bit entitled - but they've have 20+ years of unparalleled success, loads of money to spend, and a nice light schedule. I would be shocked if they don't make a damn fine run for top 4 or better next year. Hope they don't of course, because we're likely to be one knocked out of the way, but I don't think it's Kopite behavior to expect that 200 million to spend, Rooney, Mata, De Gea, and RVP on your roster, a proven manager, and less games than your competition give you a leg up on top 4.

Most of the comments I read aren't quite as delusional as the sort I've heard you see on RAWK. I don't read that rag, so I really don't know what they say, but if you're comparing the RedCafe comments to kopites, I need to see more evidence.

I know what you mean mate, but there is reasonable and coherent discussion on there, even some self deprecation. These are traits rarely seen in the RAWK brigade. There's been a lot of talk of this 200 mil, anyone else suspicious?

Pretty normal thread to start I thought, and pretty rational from what I read, so no, not really.

I hate them only a little less than Kopites. They're not football fans, they think the football world revolves around United and if they're not United players, they're s***e.

No. I for one was happy when man utd were winning everything as it caused the kopites grief.

Utd fans have the excuse that they have been incredibly succesful over the past decade or so, barring this season, so you can forgive their optimism.

Kopites really don't, and therefore should be laughed at at every oppertunity.

They were 1st two years ago.

7th absolutely was a false position cos their manager was awful.

...then giggs went and lost at home to sunderland, ha.

moyes did a terrible job, i'm not sure many would have done too much better, but they definitely shouldn't have been finishing outside top 4. it's hard to gauge though, they have about 4/5 top class players, then the gap to the rest is utterly massive and this makes up two thirds of their team every single match. with just a couple of okay players like de gea in the middle.

they'll be better next season, but i'll have to see their squad before i will state whether they'll be getting top 4 next season, think they'll have to buy a lot for a title challenge, who knows based on this season though.

No they aren't the new Kopites who are unique in their psyche - deluded, paranoid, obsessive, arrogant, shameless, exhibitionist and illogical... amongst other things of course. By comparison, Utd fans, though annoying, are normal. Against them though is the fact that they don't allow us free rein to laugh...and laugh...and laugh...and laugh...and laugh...freshly delivered each day, bank holidays included even. Kopites do.

I find United fans much more knowledgeable than liverpool fans on the whole.

You get a few bellends especially on that redcafe site but the actual match going fans are generally sounds people

No. I for one was happy when man utd were winning everything as it caused the kopites grief.

This is my view, but they've stopped doing that now so i hate them as much as i did in pre '93.

Having £200m is one thing (do they even have it? spending it wisely is another, being able to get who you want is yet another, seeing those players gel is yet another thing...

Anyone expecting them to slot right back in to top 4 could be very surprised.

I'm not totally sold on the merits of LVG either.
