Are there too many London clubs?

Sat here bored watching Peterborough vs Leyton Orient and it's got me thinking about London football clubs and the fact that we just have too many of them. Surely the likes of Brentford and Fulham could merge? Merge West Ham with Orient too. Charlton with Millwall etc

London's got about 12 million people living there, surely it can sustain 12 football clubs?

It would take a braver man than me to tell Millwall fans they've got to merge with anyone!

There are a lot but is it disproportionate to the sheer size of London? I doubt it.

The only issue I have with the notion of a London club is that they attract investment far more easily. People would rather buy Fulham than us which is tragic.
