Are the Collyer brothers still interested in the club?

My friend claimed he once had a statue built outside the stadium in his honour.... Probably Football Manager 2005/6 ish kind of time? Has he been telling me massive lies? He won a free copy of the game by writing a story about it, I know this much

Buy Everton FFS! x

We'd love to be in a position to buy the club, unfortunately I think the kind of individual who would buy Everton and be able to make something of it (as in, challenge for a top four place) would need extremely deep pockets.

Much deeper than ours!

Besides, Paul's too much of a tight-arse anyway! (hi bruv)

Just find a few other people to go in on it with you. problem solved.

Anyone remember Champ Manager 97/98, they made Jon O'Connor, John Oster and Michael Ball all boss. Everton where one of the best sides in that game.

Champ Manager 93 on the Amiga was the dogs, 4-2-4 direct ball and the league was yours. Champ Manager Italia was also godsend, the good old days of the Amiga, 3 disks and it would always crash halfway through a season

Paul spoke to us a while back, and the takeover rumour is one that we put to him;

4. Would you ever consider investing into the club? There were rumours several years ago that you and your brother were planning a bid for Everton? Was this true?

Its way way out of our league. Besides, I don’t know if Everton is a good business proposition anyway, at least not with the expectations us fans have against the financial limitations the club have. My personal opinion is that us fans should own it collectively, as there are so many Evertonians out there with good ideas and good qualifications and I am sure if done properly we could make a go of it, in a democratic and organised fashion. The current board and the ones going back as far as Carter’s in the 80’s have just made so many mistakes, it’s a miracle we have survived in the Premier League this long to be honest. I honestly think David Moyes came along at the time when the wrong choice would have buried us. I cant deny BK the credit for that in fairness, even if he did take some convincing at the time! Now I just don’t see how we can increase our income significantly enough without something along the lines of Kings Dock….Kirkby will just make things worse, it’s too much risk and downside for too little gain.

Welcome! Can I ask if Alex Bell still works at SiGames? Top bloke.

And Everton might be out of reach, but how about buying GrandOldTeam.com?......

As for 'Champ Man' - 97/98 was my favourite. Ibrahim Bakayoko and Florian Maurice would secure the league for Everton.

I remember staying off school and playing Champ Manager 2. I could get through a season in a day. As good as the new ones are, they are too involved for me and I just don't have the time to committ to them. It'd be great if they did a remake of Champ Manager 2 with updated players/teams etc.

Champ Man in 93 ish season was ace......football manager is too easy....

I bought the latest version and soon found that it's just not tough enough.....
