So with Spurs finishing higher than United 2 out of the last 3 seasons does that mean a shift in the top 4 with Spurs replacing United in the elite 4 clubs?

Yes there's so many factors why. League postion. Ace young players and manager.

I disagree. I'd say United, despite the league placings, are still a club in the top five of clubs in the world. Barcelona, Real, Bayern, based on popularity are right up there. Now going forward? Unless Mourinho ruins things at United (I don't see it happening), Spurs definitely have a brighter future. United is still the bigger brand and club, and will be for some time in the English game.
