I think we have a normal cross-section of society in our fanbase, who as a hive mind suffer from fewer complexes than the likes of the RS, Chelski, Geordies etc... I'd actually say that we are very patient as well; the fans with spring-loaded mechanisms in their knees just seem to get the biggest audience on twitter and that skews the overall picture.

We are a historically massive club who haven't tasted success for a while and it makes sense to me that the signs of progress in 13/14 have people very eager to push on and return to those heights, thus maybe diminishing their patience in the process... But I don't think this equates to naivety.

We'll see the top four get breached more and more and we are well placed to push on for that.

Some of the recent posts on the forum demanding "transparency" over transfer fees and the like. Just makes me think that some do not understand how an operation like Everton works.

This summer we were in a war with Chelsea.

Everyone thought we couldn't win it. We were being told we couldn't win it.

We did win it.

Are Everton fans naive?

Are some out of touch with football in general?

I'd say this is normal. If we weren't fighting our way as a club, resisting competitors what would we have to talk about?

No, we're not naive, I'd say we're pretty clued up. It's great that the club stuck to their guns on Stones, but there is a lack of transparency relating to some financial matters ( including transfer fees ) that generates unnecessary distrust.

Most businesses underestimate the intelligence of paying customers though, Everton's no different in that respect.

I'm I being naive in thinking we would have sold Stones had it not been for the uproar that the board would have faced with his sale. Fans are definitely more clued into the fact the figures just don't add up, these offshore loans and the people behind them are real eye openers.

Why are we naive, just for wanting to know what the hell is going on sometimes.

Our board just leave us in the dark about everything. That's not us being naive.

Also Nivea products are banned in my house now, Kopite munters.
