I thought tane impala where awful an so did more than half of the crowd they shouldnt of been the main supporting act to the arctics is killed the mood abit after miles kane
Not the sort of act that should be supporting Arctic Monkeys, to be fair. They're psych-rock, much slower tempo and heavily produced so can't imagine how that translates to a live show (Elephant probably working best).

Was thinking this. Bit of a weird match up that, totally different vibes.

Went to Verve Haigh Hall gig, where DJ Shadow and Beck were the support (John Martin was also meant to be there but he cried off last minute). Beck was probably the highlight of the day, performance-wise.

Aye they were ace, they really are at the top of their game at the moment. AM is their best album.
They've managed to build up a collection of absolutely top songs over 5 albums that are perfect for completely different reasons, amazing achievement really. Suck it and See is really the only album without any massive anthems.

1. Whatever people say I am that's not what I'm not.
2. AM

For me.

As much as like their first album, the sounds on AM for want of a better word are more 'intelligent'. Obviously now they are millionaires and live in NY they can't really be singing about not being able to get into Sheffield clubs anymore.

They really have evolved into one of the worlds biggest bands.
